Minnesota Premier Publications produces four award-winning publications focused on serving readers with high-quality, community-centered content they can trust. The Journal and Southwest Journal newspapers, along with Minnesota Parent and Minnesota Good Age magazines, reach a total of more than 200,000 readers each month.
We are seeking a full-time Graphic Designer to join our small, talented production team. This position is fast-paced, and requires an acute attention to detail while working on a deadline. The work includes design and layout of editorial pages, client advertisements and in-house marketing materials, adhering to a strict press schedule, and working with sales staff and clients on ad design. We’re looking for a positive, enthusiastic, and energetic person to work in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate is good-humored and flexible, able to work as part of a discerning and dynamic team, and be an independent problem-solver.
Candidate must possess: Outstanding page design skills and proficiency using Adobe InDesign, a solid understanding of design and production techniques (including paragraph styles, master pages, etc.), ability to work in a Mac-based environment, and strong verbal, writing, and organizational skills.
Requirements: BA (or greater) in graphic design (or related field) and 2+ years of experience in the graphic design industry.
