General Manager: Zoe Gahan / email@example.com
You know that thrill when the next issue of your favorite magazine arrives and you can’t wait to dive in? Or the joy of unfolding the newspaper over a cup of coffee and losing yourself for a time in the stories? Providing those small but treasured moments is what Zoe loves most about the publishing biz. That and working closely with MPP’s small, talented staff on projects big and small. She is proud to work at a locally-owned business that serves the community with high-quality content. When not at MPP, Zoe is likely cooking at home in Harrison Minneapolis, hiking, fishing, crafting, or tackling an impulsive home project that may or may not be finished anytime soon.
Editor: Sarah Jackson / firstname.lastname@example.org
Sarah Jackson is a Midwest native (born in Shakopee!) who started her career in daily newspaper journalism with editing and writing gigs in Minnesota (Duluth News-Tribune) and Washington state (The Olympian and The Everett Herald). She started editing magazines in 2012 and arrived at Minnesota Parent in 2014. She’s in charge of all content planning and editing for the magazine, website and social media channels. (She also edits our sister publication, Good Age.) She lives in Minnetonka with her school-age son and loves to garden, play tennis and find new restaurants (and taprooms) with her partner, who is a father to two teenagers.
Creative Director: Valerie Moe / email@example.com
Valerie Moe is the Creative Director for the Southwest Journal — which means she works side-by-side with the other members of our small, yet powerful, design team as they create award-winning page layouts, cover designs and print advertisements. She joined the Minnesota Premier Publications (our parent company) family in 2007 as a graphic designer and was promoted to Creative Director in June of 2017. Valerie blogs about handy products she’s discovered while parenting (including some products that are for parenting multiples!) at mnparent.com/moe-mama for our sister publication, Minnesota Parent. In her free time, she enjoys doing art projects with her three young children and is also an Herbalife wellness coach.
Senior Graphic Designer: Micah Edel / firstname.lastname@example.org

He began his professional design career at a local advertising agency, where he went on to become Art Director. During his time in the advertising industry, he honed his love of publishing and followed his heart all the way to Minnesota Premier Publications. Micah loves nature, climbing trees, and being friends with animals. He loves to travel and visit far-away places, and in between, he lives in Golden Valley with his long-time partner and their German Shepherd, Bella, and mischievous cat, Finn.
Graphic Designer: Brenda Taylor / email@example.com
Brenda is a graphic designer for MPP. As a longtime South Minneapolis resident, she feels a strong connection to the hyperlocal news and stories in the Southwest Journal, Minnesota Parent, and Minnesota Good Age. Brenda feels that small, local businesses are a huge part of what make communities special and has previously worked as a web and graphic designer for other family-owned and non-profit organizations in Minneapolis. She holds degrees from Minneapolis College (formerly MCTC) and the University of MN, Morris in Graphic Design and Printmaking, respectively. When Brenda’s not working, she is either riding her bike, filling her brain with useless trivia, or trying to reach her lifetime goal of petting every dog in the world.

Account Executive: Owen Davis / email@example.com
Owen handles advertising sales, which is a great way to stay in touch with the local community, and a total blast. When he isn’t hard at work on that, he can be found teaching and performing music throughout the Twin Cities. He’s grateful to live in a place with such an appreciation for both art and journalism.
Account Executive: Nik Krawczyk / firstname.lastname@example.org
Nik came to working in sales at MPP after a long and winding journey through the American West, where he worked in jobs ranging from wildland firefighter to Nordic ski coach. A Wisconsinite by birth, the Midwest (and his mom’s cooking) called him back home in 2017. Outside of MPP, you’ll find him training for his next marathon, cruising singletrack, or watching the Wild play mediocre hockey. He lives in Minnetonka where he enjoys the solitude of the lakes and bike paths with his partner Lily and chatty cat Penelope. He is a graduate of Northern Michigan University, class of 2013.
