Alexander Ramsey House Re-Opening Celebration

Welcome back to the Alexander Ramsey House! Explore the first floor of the mansion and learn about some of the 14,000 original furnishings of the home.
Limited tours of the upper floors of the mansion will be offered throughout the day—sign up upon arrival. Skip the line by reserving your tickets in advance or buy tickets in person at the Carriage House.
Activities include:
- Nelson’s ice-cream social hosted by MNHS, 11 am-3 pm (One ice cream cone per person, while supplies last. Vegan, dairy-free, and nut-free options available.)
- Bluegrass music from the Gritpickers Old-Time String Band at 1:30 pm
- Victorian yard games including croquet, quoits, hoop and stick, plus spoon and egg run
- Victorian crafts and activities
- Victorian-era cooking demonstrations.
- “Old Time” photo station
- And more!
After you visit Ramsey House, continue the fun with a stroll through nearby Historic Irvine Park. You can grab a bite to eat at food trucks, hear music, and enjoy a stroll around the beautiful 19th century New England-style park and historic homes.
Guided tours of Alexander Ramsey House will resume on August 5.
