Join Minnesota author/illustrator Chris Monroe for a special storytime celebration of her new picture book, SASQUATCH AND SQUIRREL!
A laugh-out-loud story of unexpected friendship from the creator of the Monkey with a Tool Belt books, SASQUATCH AND SQUIRREL follows Strawberry the Sasquatch, who lives alone deep in the forest. Most animals are afraid of her, but she doesn’t mind. She’s happy doing all the alone things a sasquatch does—things like hiking and foraging as well as dance moves and logger pranks. Then one day, an extremely friendly squirrel named Nutty shows up…
Swing by Red Balloon for a reading of this delightful, perfect-for-summer picture book. Afterward, get your books signed by the author/illustrator and enjoy some themed craft activities!
To attend: This event is open to the public, but registration helps us get an estimated headcount when considering spatial constraints. You can register below through May 27, 8:30am, and order the book on Red Balloon’s website. Additional books will be available for purchase during the event.
Signing Guidelines: Following the reading, Chris Monroe will sign and personalize copies of the book. If you would prefer not to stay for the signing portion, Red Balloon is happy to have your books signed and personalized for you and will contact you when they’re ready to be picked up.
