Doors Open Minneapolis – Pantages Theatre

Join us at the Pantages Theatre as we take part in Doors Open Minneapolis! Originally opened in 1916 as a vaudeville house, this stunning venue designed by Kees and Colburn in the Beaux Arts style has been beautifully restored, including the breathtaking stained-glass false skylight at the center of the auditorium. After a full renovation, the Pantages re-opened in 2002 and continues to shine as a cornerstone of Minneapolis arts and culture.
As part of Doors Open Minneapolis, you’re invited to explore behind the scenes for FREE, and discover the stories, architecture, and craftsmanship that make this historic theatre so special.
Produced by Rethos, Doors Open Minneapolis offers a rare opportunity to experience the spaces that shape our city from iconic landmarks to hidden gems. Come see why the Pantages Theatre remains a vital part of Minneapolis’ past, present, and future.
