FREE 2023 North Commons Park Open

First Tee Minnesota, the nonprofit organization that teaches life development skills to kids through the game of golf, is sponsoring the FREE 2023 North Commons Park Open at 11 am on Saturday July 22, North Commons Park, 1801 N James Ave, Minneapolis.

First Tee is bringing the game of golf to where underserved kids live, so they can learn skills and grow their confidence right in their own neighborhood! The nonprofit org will turn the football field into a nine-hole golf course for the day. All interested kids from age 6 to 16 are invited to come, have fun, and learn the game of golf.

No prior golf experience is necessary! The North Commons Park Open is about having fun, being social, and checking out the game of golf. There will be a DJ, an ice cream truck, and prizes. Participating kids will get a free golf club and bucket of practice balls, free tee shirt designed by community development entrepreneur Houston White, and a ticket to the 3M Open at TPC Twin Cities in Blaine for each parent or guardian of a participating child (kids’ admission to the 3M Open is free).
