Learn about owls in Minnesota and the ways their bodies are designed to thrive in the dark and the cold.
Participants ages 11 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
Free Family Fun Day: Animal Coloring – 3/10
Relax at the nature center and do some coloring! Meet the animal ambassadors, touch animal furs, look at taxidermy animals for inspiration or make up your own designs.

It’s a day for all things GREEN. Enjoy a walk in the park as you search for nature’s green. Check in at the Visitor Center to start your hunt.

Free Family Fun Day: Signs of Spring – 3/24
The spring equinox was on March 19 this year. This marks the beginning of astronomical spring, but does not necessarily mean it feels or looks super springy outside in Minnesota. Learn about what causes the changing seasons and head out into the park to search for signs that spring is on its way.

Free Family Fun Day: Rabbits and Hares – 3/31
Spring has sprung and there are rabbits and hares everywhere. Using stories, fur, scat and skulls, learn the difference between the two then hop along a short trail to explore some more about them.
