Historic Fashion with the Living History Society

Petticoats, parasols, and pinafores – join the Living History Society as they share what they wear in the mid-19th century. Learn about the fit, form, and function of the many layers of mid-19th century clothing and hear about how the clothing you wear today connects to what was worn in the past. You’ll find out how ladies’ skirts got so big, what it’s really like to wear a corset, and how people worked in the clothes they wore.
