Penn Fest

On Sunday, Sept. 17 from 1-5 p.m., Penn Ave. between Highway 62 and 70th St. will shut down for one of the biggest gatherings of the year! Here’s what you can expect during this once-a-year celebration:

* The deLindas (Linda Ronstadt tribute band) from 1-2 p.m. and Atomic Beat (alternative rock band) from 2:30-5 p.m. in front of Freewheel Bikes

* The Richfield Symphonic band from 1-2 p.m. at 65th/Penn

* The Percolators at Sandy’s Tavern

* Live music at Fireside Foundry

* Cultural Dance Groups performing at 70th/Penn

* Ha Family Chinese Lion Dance at 1:30 p.m.

* Kalpulli KetzalCoatlicue Aztec Dancers at 2 p.m.

* Mexico Lindo youth dance group at 3 p.m.

You’ll also find more than 30 small business crafter/marketplace vendors all up and down Penn Ave. The BMX bikers will be back for a repeat performance. And you can get your groove on with some Zumba at CM’s Dance Studio throughout the day!
