Spring St. Paul Art Crawl

This year’s Crawl will feature 40+ galleries/group art spaces and the works of over 350 artists of all mediums!

Free dance performances and open-level workshops:

Kalpulli Huitzillin de MN—a group of dancers based in the Twin Cities committed to preserving the Indigenous Mexica culture through Mexica (Aztec) dance—will perform/host a dance workshop in Rice Park on April 28th from 1:15 pm to 2:15 pm.

The Kala Vandanam Bharatanatyam Dance School will offer a youth Bharatanatyam dance class taught by young dance teachers on April 27th, 1:15 pm – 2:15 pm, with a short performance at the school.

Noelle Awadallah from Body Watani will share a Palestinian (Levantine) folk dance called Dabke with participants which has become an in-motion-symbol of embodying Palestinian solidarity and resistance through footwork rhythms at a community dance class at Como Streetcar Station on April 27th, 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm.

Mariusz Kujawski will host a Cha-Cha class on April 20th, 1 pm – 3 pm at the Schmidt Artist Lofts.

We also will be featuring youth and family/friendly events:
(Neo)Muralismos de México will host family-friendly activities at Harriet Island Regional Park, featuring art, color, and play on April 13th and 14th at noon – sunset.

Front Avenue Pottery invites families to participate in clay workshops, creating their own stoneware clay microgreen kitchen planters. This event is free and is a chance for kids to get a hands-on clay art experience!
