We’re excited to share that the Fridley ’49er Days Festival has been moved from June to July. The new dates for 2026 are July 16–18 — mark your calendars!

The 2026 event will kick off with the Fridley Lions Parade on Thursday, a Car Show and Movie in the Park on Friday, and on Saturday, we’ll host the Commons Park Grand Opening event and art dedication— each day will be filled with food trucks, musical performances and more!

2026 Fridley ’49er Days Schedule

July 16–18, 2026 (plus a few pre-festival activities)

Before the Festival

July 12–18: ’49er Adventure Quest

Gather a team of up to eight people and complete app-based scavenger hunt challenges throughout Fridley. Every 10 completed challenges earns an entry into the raffle drawing.

July 12–16: Citywide Medallion Hunt

Search Fridley’s parks for the hidden medallion! New clues are released daily at 7 a.m., and the lucky finder wins a $490 prize.

Wednesday, July 15

55+ Card Tournaments

Moore Lake Park Community Building

• 10 a.m. – Cribbage Tournament
• 1 p.m. – Bridge Tournament
• Refreshments and prizes for participants.

St. Philip’s Summer Picnic Jam

5:15–7:30 p.m.
Enjoy a free community picnic featuring food and live music from The Ballroom Surfers, performing favorite hits from the 1950s and ’60s.

Thursday, July 16 – Parade Day

55+ Bingo

10 a.m.–Noon
Head to Moore Lake Park Community Building for bingo, refreshments, and prizes.

Pre-Parade Party

Commons Park | 4–7 p.m.
Start the celebration with:

• DJ and dancing
• Ninja Anywhere obstacle course
• Family games
• Community booths
• Food trucks

Fridley Fun Run

6:25 p.m.
Run the parade route before the parade begins. Registration opens at 5:15 p.m.

Fridley Lions ’49er Parade

6:30 p.m.
One of the festival’s biggest traditions returns with floats, marching bands, community groups, and plenty of candy along the parade route.

Friday, July 17 – Cars, Music & Movie Night

Classic Car Show

Friendly Chevrolet | 5–8 p.m.
Browse beautifully restored classic vehicles while enjoying live music, food trucks, and concessions. Proceeds benefit Fridley Youth Wrestling.

Music & Movie in the Park

Commons Park | 5:30–10:30 p.m.

Enjoy an evening packed with entertainment:

• 🎸 School of Rock performance (6:30 p.m.)
• ❓ Trivia Mafia games (7–9 p.m.)
