2026 Minnesota Renaissance Festival
Step back in time for seven weekends of merriment at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival, returning to Shakopee for its 55th season. From August 22 through October 4, 2026, plus Labor Day on September 7 and Festival Friday on October 2, families can explore a lively Renaissance village filled with entertainment, food, shopping, games and plenty of medieval magic. The festival runs 9 a.m.-7 p.m., rain or shine.
There is something happening around nearly every corner, with 16+ stages of entertainment, 250+ artisans, 500+ food and beverage selections, and more than 50 games, rides and attractions. Watch live performances, meet colorful characters, browse handcrafted goods, try festival foods and drinks, and let kids take part in family-friendly activities.
Each weekend also brings its own theme and special events, including Once Upon a Time, Highland Fling, Woofstock, Bold North Adventure, Sign Language Saturday, Wine, Chocolate & Romance, Art Affair, Festival Friday and Oktoberfest. The 2026 lineup also includes new experiences, daily events, contests and activities designed to make each visit a little different.
Families can also check out the festival’s games and rides, artisan marketplace, demonstrations and family-friendly entertainment. For an extra-special experience, ticketed options include the Feast of Fantasy, a two-hour comedy show featuring festival entertainment and a six-course meal; note that the Feast of Fantasy contains adult humor and is intended for guests 17 and older.
The Minnesota Renaissance Festival is located in Shakopee, Minnesota, and parking passes are required for those parking on the festival grounds. With costumes, characters, food, entertainment and hands-on adventures throughout the village, it’s a fun fall tradition for families looking to spend a day immersed in a different world.
