Step into a magical world at the Trail of Small Wonders at Westwood Hills Nature Center in St. Louis Park. This whimsical summer tradition features dozens of tiny, handcrafted fairy, gnome, elf, and troll homes tucked along the nature center’s accessible trails. Kick off the season at the free Opening Day Festival on July 13, 2026, with butterfly stilt walkers, live music, storytelling, puppet shows, hands-on art activities, face painting, and more. The enchanting trail remains open daily from July 13 through August 1, giving families plenty of opportunities to explore this one-of-a-kind outdoor art experience.
