Explore, get messy and learn by doing! Build forts in the woods, catch bugs in the prairie, explore the river shore, enjoy campfire cooking and much more. Kids ages 6-12 can spend the summer outside with week-long nature themed camps. Half or full day option.

We are hosting birthday parties! Make your child’s birthday party unforgettable by hosting it at Kroening Nature Center. More information is included below ⬇
Bookings are available on Saturdays (10-12:30 or 1:-3:30) and Sundays (1-3:30).
$75 for up to 12 children.
$5 for each additional child up to 18.
We provide:
A 1 hour naturalist-led program on a theme of your choice with inside and outside activities. Popular themes include: Slither and Slime, C.S.I Critter Sign Investigators, and Wild Survival
A 2.5 hour room rental in the Interpretive
Center, including tables, chairs, and a sink.
Access to public amenities including our exhibits, fort building area, playground, and summer splash pad (weather permitting).
You bring:
All refreshments, tableware, party favors,
and other supplies you may need.
All decorations (temporary only).
