Our goal at the White Bear Sailing School is to introduce people of all ages to the lifelong sport of sailing by engaging in activities that foster the legacy, skills, and art of sailing through education, competition, and fun. We offer instruction for children, teens, and adults of all levels, from beginning sailing through advanced racing. US Sailing-certified instructors help create skilled and confident sailors who will respect others, care for their equipment and the environment, and be willing to help fellow sailors on and off the water. All of our students, whether their interest is in racing or cruising around for fun, emerge with an enhanced sense of self-reliance, knowledge of seamanship, and a solid foundation in the sport of sailing.

The White Bear Sailing School is located on the beautiful grounds of the White Bear Yacht Club. However, we are a separate entity, and membership there is not required for any of our sailing classes or race teams. Join us on the water!

Sailing Camps at White Bear Sailing School

All-Day Camp Opti and All-Day Camp 420 are for sailors with no experience to intermediate experience who are between the ages of 7 and 11. Through games, activities, drills, and racing specifically designed for their experience level, leveled groups of sailors will learn the basics or build upon existing skills. These are high-energy, high-fun camps where sailors will spend the majority of their time on the water, strengthening their knowledge of and skills in the lifelong sport of sailing.
