Summer at Wild Mountain
Warm weather means it’s time to dive into Wild Adventure Island Waterpark! This water wonderland is perfect for kids of all ages. It features a 350-gallon tipping bucket, bubbling jets, and four thrilling Avalanche Alley waterslides.
Younger kids can splash safely in the zero-depth kiddie pool. Meanwhile, older thrill-seekers tackle rides like the Black Hole speed slide or race down the Super Chute. Don’t miss the 800-foot Lazy River for a relaxing float between water attractions.
Prefer to stay dry? Zoom down the Arctic Rush Alpine Slide. You control the speed as you twist and turn down a 1,700-foot track. With two side-by-side tracks, it’s perfect for a friendly family race!

Then, hop behind the wheel at the Tall Timbers Raceway Go-Karts. Kids and parents can share the driver’s seat—or challenge each other for a high-speed win. Brave souls can also test their courage on the FreeFall XP, a two-story platform jump (must be 46″ +).
Pack a picnic or grab lunch at the on-site Corduroy Club. The eatery serves up a full menu alongside scenic sun deck views. Parking is free, and outside food is welcome, making it an easy, budget-friendly outing.
Winter at Wild Mountain
Come snow season, Wild Mountain transforms into a snowy playground ideal for family adventures. With 26 runs across 100 skiable acres, it’s one of the best ski spots near the Twin Cities. From bunny hills for beginners to long, scenic runs for seasoned skiers, there’s something for every level.
Are you new to skiing? Sign up for the Get Hooked program—three beginner lessons with rentals and lift tickets included. Kids ages 4–12 can join the Wild Cats lesson series. They are available up to seven days a week. Parents can even join them in a unique family lesson program!
If skiing’s not your thing, the tubing park offers an equally fun (and less intimidating) way to enjoy the snow. It’s the largest snow tube park in the area! It even provides a conveyor belt that carries you right back to the top—no climbing required!
