Woodbury Central Park Indoor play structure for kids

Explore Woodbury’s Newly Redesigned and Renovated Central Park

About Woodbury Central Park

Address: 8595 Central Park Place, Woodbury, MN 55125

Throughout our dark and cold Midwest winters, it’s essential to find places where our kids can run off some steam and play out of the snow and the cold. Recently reopened after a massive renovation project, it’s always sunny and 70 degrees at Woodbury’s Central Park, a beloved community hub with play spaces, indoor gardens, and a connected public library. The star of the show is “Lookout Ridge”- their newly redesigned indoor playground where kids can play all year-round.

Lookout Ridge

With stunning floor to ceiling walls and murals, you almost feel like you are in the great outdoors while exploring Lookout Ridge, Central Park’s indoor playground. The perfect spot when it’s snowy or rainy outside, their gigantic playground features more than 75 play elements, like slides, tunnels, and bridges. While older kids will love climbing and exploring every nook, there are also some thoughtful areas for littler guests, featuring soft floors and age-appropriate play structures.

The theme of the playground highlights the beautiful rivers and lakes across our state, and it features tree design elements, cliffs, and caves. Additional amenities like a cafe and updated bathrooms inside the play area and near the play structure are big pluses for parents!

The playground has become so popular that capacity can become limited- especially on weekends, holidays, and during school breaks. According to the city, during these busy times, admission may be temporarily paused and re-entry cannot be guaranteed when the playground is at capacity.

Birthday Parties

Look no further than Lookout Ridge when planning your child’s next birthday party! The city of Woodbury offers a variety of options for celebrations, including exclusive use of the playground, or shared access. The price includes exclusive use of the facility’s party room for both options. Pricing and booking information can be found here

Library Connection

Central Park is connected to Washington County’s R.H. Stafford Library, and that means you can make a full day out of a trip to Central Park. They offer a robust kids area, book selection, and story time options for toddlers and babies. It’s a great spot sink into a good book or pick some up to take home after a trip to Lookout Ridge.

Special Events

Central Park plays host to special events throughout the year, and one favorite is their Art and Craft Fair, held the Saturday before Thanksgiving. Attendees can find paintings, pottery, and jewelry from local artists, making it the perfect place to pick up some unique holiday gifts.
