Planning a birthday party for a kid in the age of Instagram isn’t easy.
You can end up running to multiple stores or hitting up tons of websites trying to pull it all off. And it’s not cheap.
Enter Sprinkles & Confetti, the brainchild of Minnesota mama Jackie Walter, who feels your pain: “The overwhelm is real” intones her website, which ironically does not sell sprinkles or confetti.
You can work with Walter’s St. Louis Park biz in one of two ways — visit her site, a virtual one-stop shop for stylish party supplies for all occasions (with themes from bachelorette to gender reveal) — or you can fill out a party profile, get matched with a party stylist for a $25 fee (think Stitch Fix) and then receive a custom party box (that fits your budget) delivered to your doorstep.
Walter said she came up with the idea for her business after seeing “too many friends driving themselves crazy trying to create a Pinterest-perfect party with little to no time.”
A portion of the profits will go toward The Birthday Party Project and its mission to bring joy to homeless children through the magic of birthdays.
