Minnesota is home to some of the best tubing hills in the Midwest.

Minneapolis, MN | Theodore Wirth Regional Park

The tubing hill is open at Theodore Wirth Regional Park!

The tubing hill is run by The Loppet Foundation out of The Trailhead building at 1221 Theodore Wirth Parkway.
 
Tubing Hours:
  • Fridays: 4-8 pm
  • Saturdays: 10 am-6 pm
  • Sundays: 10 am-6 pm
Free sledding is available on the 10th fairway of Wirth Golf Course – the large hill next to Wirth Chalet, 1301 Theodore Wirth Parkway.
Bring your own sled or stop by The Trailhead for a loaner sled! Please stay off the groomed ski trail.
Sledding hill hours are 7 am-9 pm daily.

Detroit Lakes, MN | Detroit Mountain Recreation Area

General Information – 
  • Tubing Tickets are purchased at the new tubing lodge (no longer available at main lodge)
  • Tubing is closed on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays
  • One person per tube, but can be linked to tube together down designated lanes.
  • Tickets are time stamped and begin at time of arrival, they must be purchased/reserved ahead of time. (Purchase Here)
  • Guest must check in and buy ticket before receiving tube.
  • Guest can not bring own tubes or sleds
  • Tubers must be 6 years old & at least 42 inches to ride on a tube. They must be old enough and mature enough to navigate across lanes of on coming tubes. No exceptions will be made.
  • Anyone over 18 must sign their own waiver and anyone under 18 must have an adult signature.
  • Tubers must wait until lane is clear before starting.
  • No bumping, throwing tubes or jumping lanes with tubes.

Google Review! Perfect tubing hill for families and kids. Not too steep but definitely still fun for everyone. Cheap outdoor entertainment, and you’ll get a little exercise when walking back up with your tube (no tow rope here). Warming house for those who get cold, too.

Must use tubes on-site, no personal tubes allowed. No tow rope, walking up the hill is part of the winter adventure! All participants and spectators must purchase a ticket.

Walk-up sales will not be an option. Tickets can be purchased within two days of attending for 2-hour blocks with a max of 50 users per block. Go to discovereagan.com to purchase.

Lake Elmo, MN | Green Acres Recreation Area

Great recommendation! Had a blast here with my boys ages 9, 9, and 7. The staff was amazing and super helpful especially the first few times getting on the tow rope for my youngest. They make safety a priority and I love that we were able to fill out the waivers and reserve our spots ahead of time. Highly recommend for fun with the fam! -Shauna

General Admission: $20.00 per participant, per session

Tubers should be a minimum height of 42 inches or taller.  Green Acres does not recommend tubers under 42 inches to go tubing. Only one person per tube is allowed at all times, ​unless you have a child under 42 inches tall it is highly recommended to ride with a parent/guardian at all times.

Weekend Hours: Two hour session start times are below. Your ticket is good for one session only. Includes lift ticket and tube.

Maple Grove, MN | Elm Creek Park Reserve

If you like sledding, you’ll love snow tubing! Ride a moving sidewalk up a 10-story hill and then soar back down on a specially designed inner tube. Once you get to the bottom, do it all over again! At Elm Creek in Maple Grove, all of the tubing lanes are designed for safety and fun. All you need are warm winter clothes—Three Rivers supplies the rest.

Taylors Falls, MN | Wild Mountain Recreation Area

Wild Mountain offer 6 lanes of tubing and limits the lanes to 175 guest at a time! This makes sure everyone has tons of fun and safely goes go the hill without overcrowding! FREE Snow Tubing ticket on your birthday!

 On Friday and Saturday, they offer Starlight snow tubing. At dusk, the floodlights are turned off, and the LED twinkle lights come on for a magical night of snow tubing.

Get ready to zoom down some snowy hills at Badlands Snowpark! If you haven’t checked out the oldest and most popular tubing hill in the Midwest – this is the year for it. It’s perfect for anyone who loves winter fun!

Tickets are all sold ONLINE and go on sale each Wednesday at noon for the following week. Groups of 20+ can buy tickets on Tuesday at noon for the following week.
Our regular season hours are:
