Get ready to welcome the newest arrivals at one of spring’s most beloved traditions—Farm Babies! This fan-favorite event is back and included with regular zoo admission, offering daily opportunities to meet adorable baby animals and their hardworking moms.

🐾 What to Expect
Visit the Wells Fargo Family Farm, a hands-on demonstration farm featuring heritage and rare breeds. Meet:

  • Goats & sheep (including Nigerian Dwarf goats and Icelandic sheep)
  • Horses like Clydesdales Frank & Ritchie
  • Kunekune pigs from New Zealand

✨ New in 2026: Keep an eye out for miniature donkeys and miniature Highland & White Park cattle arriving this season!

Farm Babies, Minnesota Zoo’s annual springtime tradition, returns to the Wells Fargo Family Farm April 25 through May 17, 2026. Guests can meet and interact with babies and their moms, including goats, sheep, pigs, llamas and chicks, along with miniature Highland and White Park cows and miniature donkeys, which are debuting at the Farm in 2026. They can also learn more from Farmkeepers about agriculture and animal welfare. Farm Babies is open daily during Zoo hours and included in the price of admission.

Farm Babies weekend activities: During the run of Farm Babies, Saturdays and Sundays will feature special activities at the Farm from 10 a.m.– 4 p.m., including demonstrations, education activity stations, games, photo ops, special presentations, refreshments, story time, and live music. The music schedule includes:
• April 25 – 26: World Beat Duo
• May 2 – 3: Slim Pickins (Saturday) and Thyme and the Spice (Sunday)
• May 9 – 10: The Argyle Street Trio (Saturday) and Silk & Sandpaper (Sunday)
• May 16 -17: The Jorgensens
