About Edgewater Hotel and Waterpark
As the largest freshwater lake in the world by surface area, Lake Superior is the crown jewel of Duluth. But with water temps clocking in around 55 degrees in the summer months, it isn’t the best place to take a dip! Good thing there are thousands of gallons of warm water just off the lake’s shores, attracting visitors and locals alike.
The Edgewater Hotel and Waterpark is a vacation destination in the Duluth area for those looking for fun and adventure. The Edge Waterpark has many attractions, like a lazy river and a zero-depth entry pool for younger patrons. If you are ready to change out of your bathing suit, the fun doesn’t stop with outdoor mini-golf and an arcade with more than 40 games.

Wet and Wild Waterpark
It’s always sunny and the water is always splashing inside the 35,000 square-foot Edge Waterpark. If you aren’t afraid of the dark or heights, then the Thriller body slide is for you! It is more than four stories tall and slides and spins you throughout the park. If you are traveling with little ones, the Paradise Playground is the spot. The area is only six inches deep with water, and smaller kids can enjoy splashdowns and slides. There is also a poolside restaurant inside the park with craveable fare, like burgers, chicken wings, and pizza.
Want to take a dip while looking out at Lake Superior? The park has a seasonal outdoor pool and a hot tub open year-round. After a day in the water, families can get cozy at the hotel, which has an array of lodging options, including two-bedroom suites and pet-friendly options.
On-Land Attractions
Location, location, location. That’s what it is all about, and Edgewater has the advantage of an unbeatable one! Soaking in the incredible views of Lake Superior is a relaxing and awe-inspiring experience in and of itself. They are also located just steps from the Lakewalk, so families can enjoy the view with a walk, run, or a bike ride. There’s a variety of walkable restaurants and shops in the area, too.
If you visit Edgewater in the summer, take advantage of their mini golf course, playground, and outdoor marshmallow roasting.
