The Cities of Brooklyn Park and Brooklyn Center are joining forces to host a Juneteenth celebration honoring our shared past while planting seeds for a stronger, healthier future.
This year marks 160 years since the original Juneteenth, and under the powerful theme ““Cultivating the Seeds of Freedom: Rooted in History, Nurturing in Culture, and Flourishing through Generations,” inviting the community to reflect on the past, celebrate the present and invest in the future.
⛳️ Juneteenth Golf Tournament
Join us for a community golf tournament as we kick off Juneteenth weekend. This event brings together community members, partners, and supporters for connection, engagement and a shared start to the celebration.
When: June 19, 2026 at 6:00 p.m.
Where: Centerbrook Golf Course – 5500 Lilac Drive N, Brooklyn Center, MN 55430

🔴 Juneteenth Celebration
When: Saturday, June 20, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Where: North Hennepin Community College (7411 85th Ave N, Brooklyn Park, MN 55445).
What to expect:
– Live performances and cultural programming
– Food trucks and local vendors
– Community resource fair
– Youth and family activities
– REDI Awards recognition
– Golf Tournament (Friday, June 19, 2026)
Families can grab a bite to eat from a variety of delicious food trucks, explore a health resource fair, and connect with local organizations at a community resource fair.
