If you have never been to the Grand Day Parade you are in for a pleasant treat! The parade includes scores of units each year, including several music entrants, fire trucks, school groups, royalty and plenty of local service clubs, organizations, and business entrants.
• How far in advance can I reserve a spot on the parade route? 24 hours in advance, we ask that people are polite and ask homeowners if on someone’s property.
• Parade starts at 11:00 AM
• Parade Route begins on 145th Street at Shannon Parkway and goes East until Cameo Ave.
• ROAD CLOSURES 8:00 AM until 2:00 PM at the latest
• Handicap-accessible parking is available at the following intersections along the parade route:
o Cimarron Avenue West (south of the Family Resource Center) and 145th Street West
o Canada Avenue West (both north and south sides) and 145th Street West
• Food along the parade route:
o RHS Marching Band Brat Stand Fundraiser (3130 145th St W & intersection of Chili Ave and 145th St W)
o Dogs for a Cause – First State Bank
• Please stay off the street during the parade.
• Remember to pick up your garbage to keep our city clean.
• Please leave your pets at home.
