Decade’s Club Children’s Programming (1770’s – America’s 250th Birthday)

Travel through time with the Historical and Cultural Society of Clay County’s very own Decades Club as we celebrate America’s 250th Birthday! Enjoy Americana-themed activities, crafts, fun facts about the history of the USA, and unique local tie-ins! This month Decades Club will be meeting at Moorhead Public Library’s new location for a fun, hands-on history adventure! July 7th’s topic is about the 1770’s and and the birth of the United States of America!

Young learners will explore real Clay County artifacts, discover what life was like long ago, and become history detectives through interactive storytelling and guided exploration. Each program includes a creative activity inspired by local history — so every child goes home with a project they made and a new connection to our community’s past.

History isn’t just something you read about — it’s something you can see, touch, and experience !The class is free and it starts at 6pm, part of Free Tuesdays at the museum!
