About the Project
More than 20 years in the making, the improvements at Heritage Village Park and the Inclusive Playground and Splashpad are the result of extensive community engagement and long-term planning. As the fifth phase of the Heritage Village Park project, this space was thoughtfully designed with accessibility, inclusion, and belonging at the forefront.

The playground and splashpad feature sensory-rich play experiences and equipment designed for a wide range of ages and abilities, helping create opportunities for all children and families to play together.

Inspired by the park’s unique setting and local history — including nearby railway elements and the iconic Rock Island Swing Bridge — the design blends past and present to create a welcoming destination for the entire community.
