Stop by the White Oak Classroom’s outdoor patio and teaching space for a free morning making art with nature! Children and families are invited to collaborate together creating a nature mandala using a collection of natural materials while exploring in the landscape. Creating a nature mandala is a moment-based experience, much like building a sandcastle, it is not something to take home.
We invite you to enjoy the process, take a photo, and appreciate the beauty of creating something meant just for the moment. It’s a gentle way to model sustainability and mindful connection with nature.
This pop-up program is offered in partnership with visiting artist and arts and nature pedagogist, Sylvette Frazier as part of The Piper Project: Creative Roots Residency. This residency provides artists dedicated time to create, research, and develop new work while fostering meaningful community connection.
