Lewis, a 12-year-old orphan and inventive genius, is determined to find his birth mother. He invents a memory scanner that is later sabotaged by the villainous Bowler Hat Guy. Lewis is then approached by Wilbur Robinson, a mysterious boy claiming to be from the future. Together, they travel to the year 2037, where Lewis meets Wilbur’s eccentric and inventive family, and learns some valuable lessons along the way.
