🚧 River to River Greenway update 🚧
The Valley Park Trail is almost ready! After a year of improvements and repairs following June’s water main break crews are on the home stretch. Asphalt paving is set for mid-August, with pavement markings and signs to follow.
Once the trail reopens, join us to celebrate:
Ribbon Cutting
Monday, Sept. 14
4:30–5:30 p.m.
A few finishing touches including fencing, seeding, and fall tree plantings will wrap up as the weather cools.
Join Dakota County, state and city leaders, along with other project partners, to celebrate the completion of a key River to River Greenway segment. The event will include tours of environmental improvements installed as part of the project.
Background: Dakota County updated 1.4 miles of existing trail to greenway standards and built a grade-separated tunnel. The project, which received a $585,000 Clean Water Fund Grant, also improves safety and accessibility at trail crossings, and improves stormwater management.
