Summer Series Skateboard Contest

The City of Plymouth has partnered with 3rd Lair Skate Park and Skate Shop to hold a free skateboard contest Tuesday, June 16 at Plymouth Creek Skatepark, 3625 Fernbrook Lane N.

Registration begins at 5 p.m., and the contest begins at 6 p.m. Participants must bring their own gear.

The public is invited to watch as participants compete in a jam-style contest. There is no cost to attend or compete.

The contest offers four divisions in which participants may compete. While a girls/womens division is available, girls/women may enter any division. Divisions include:

Beginner: Recommended for newer riders ages 12 and younger

Intermediate: Recommended for riders ages 17 and younger

Advanced: Open to riders of all ages

Girls/Women: Open to riders of all ages

The event will feature prizes, music and more. Prizes will be awarded to the top three participants from each category.

Summer Series Skateboard Contest is sponsored by Kyle Vitense State Farm, the Plymouth Lions Club, Renewal by Anderson and Gateway Fiber.
