The Young Athletes festival will be hosted during the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games in Minnesota! Young Athletes is an inclusive early childhood play program for children with and without intellectual disabilities, ages 2 to 7 years old. The festival is an opportunity for children of all abilities to practice their gross motor skills while having fun.

Each day is broken out into one-hour blocks, please select the hour(s) that work best for you.
Upon registration, an email confirmation will be sent with a link to a waiver. Please be sure that all parents/caretakers complete the waiver for every child participating in the festival.

This year’s theme is all about finding your inner superhero!
The Young Athletes Festival will take place within the Fan Zone at the National Sports Center, so there will be plenty of activities for a full day of fun!
The National Sports Center will also be hosting six sports including golf, softball, flag football, soccer, pickleball, and bowling. Catch Special Olympics athletes competing at the highest level!
