Flower Garden inspired by Plant a Kiss book

Plant a Kiss Inspired Valentines Kids Craft!

We picked up this book at the library and fell in love with it! We really enjoyed making this craft inspired by the book. Plus, it makes a great centerpiece too!

Here are the simple steps to make this Valentine’s craft with your kids.

Gather your supplies:

  • paper plate
  • scissors
  • brown paint
  • paintbrush
  • Knife (adult use only)
  • tape
  • 4 pipe cleaners
  • Color cardstock paper
  • Markers or glitter glue
  • stapler

Simple instructions to complete the craft.

1. Paint the bottom of your paper plate with brown paint and let it dry. After it is dry, cut an X in the bottom of the plate (best done by an adult):

2. Poke the pipe cleaners through the hole in the plate, bend the bottoms down and tape them to the bottom of the plate.

3. Cut hearts out of cardstock paper. Decorate the hearts with glitter glue or markers.

4. Use the stapler to staple the hearts to the pipe cleaners.

Enjoy the sweet craft inspired by an even sweeter book!
We picked up the book at our local library but you can purchase on Amazon too!
