Kid-Friendly Activities at LuceLine

There’s plenty to keep your kids excited and on the move at LuceLine Orchard, whether you’re visiting with toddlers or teens. Little ones will love the playground, corn pit, farm animals, and ziplines. Meanwhile, older kids and teens will love picking their own apples and trying their hand at the Apple Slinger! Sunflower City is another fun spot for families to explore. Of course, weekend concerts add a new level of entertainment to your farm adventure.

On weekends, families can add even more fun with hayrides, a corn maze, a kiddie train, and LuceLine Archery. Some activities require a fee. Unlimited-access wristbands are also available for select attractions.

Families with toddlers and preschoolers may especially enjoy visiting on a weekday, when the orchard tends to be quieter (and many of the free activities are still available). For school-age kids and teens, weekends offer the biggest selection of activities and entertainment.

Of course, no orchard visit is complete without apples! Pick your own Zestar and SweeTango apples when they’re ripe. Or, let the orchard staff do the picking for you. You’ll also find First Kiss, Zestar, and SweeTango apples in the Apple House. Many of the varieties grown here were developed at the University of Minnesota’s Horticultural Research Center.
