About Red Barn Learning Farm

In a world that can be dominated by technology at every turn, it is a welcome change to slow down for a day and enjoy the simple life on a working farm. Opened in 2013, The Red Barn Learning Farm has become a destination for families in southeastern Minnesota who want to enjoy the outdoors, learn about agriculture, and experience animals-  you can pet and feed them, too! The farm has a large list of furry and feathered friends who call the farm home, including all of Old McDonald’s favorites: ducks, ponies, goats, sheep, chickens, turkeys, bunnies, pigs, and many more. A favorite in the fall and in the summer, visitors love Red Barn Learning Farm because it has so many activities for all ages.

Animal and Agriculture Activities

The main attractions of The Red Barn Learning Farm are (unsurprisingly) the barnyard animals. The farm boasts a wide variety of animals for visitors to pet and feed. The baby bunnies, goats, and barn kittens are perennial fan favorites!
Each year, they also host a large Easter egg hunt, where patrons can get their first glimpse of all the new animals on the farm. The farm places a big emphasis on teaching the next generation about agriculture. Families can climb the silo, drive pedal tractors, and jump on hay bales or straight into the corn pit.

Farm Camp

It might be tough to convince your kids to get in the car and go home after a fun visit to the Red Barn Farm. Luckily, their team offers Farm Camps for kids ages 4-12 who are looking to further connect with everything the farm has to offer. The campers can complete farm chores and learn hands-on with animals and gardening, and each day of the camp focuses on a different animal on the farm. They offer both 4-day camps and single-day camp options. This offering is very popular, so be sure to check their website for registration details!
