About Stoney Brook Farms

A slight chill in the air, a fresh flannel shirt, and the smell of cinnamon in the air can only mean one thing. It’s fall in Minnesota, and there is no better place to celebrate the season than at Stoney Brook Farms in Foley, Minnesota. Just over an hour northwest of the Twin Cities, this charming and expansive family-run farm has everything you need for a day of fall fun. There’s a whole host of activities for kids, a gigantic corn maze (that’s actually three mazes in one), and food trucks with kettle corn and mini donuts?! Sign me up.

Corn Maze and Activities for Kids

One of the signature attractions at Stoney Brook Farms is their giant corn maze, which they claim is the largest one in the state of Minnesota. This year’s theme is “Mythical Creatures” with a dragon, a knight, a unicorn (and a few other fantastical beings) carved into the fields of corn.

The 64-acre maze is actually three separate mazes in one, so visitors can choose to complete one or all of them. The mazes are divided into easy, medium, and challenging levels, so there is something for every age group to enjoy. The farm’s staff recommends having a fully charged phone and wearing appropriate footwear, as the ground can be uneven at some points. If you have an infant along for your visit, pack a wearable baby carrier instead of a stroller for this part.

If taking on a challenging maze isn’t your speed, the farm has dozens of other activities for families, many of which are included in the price of admission. Just a few of the free attractions include a giant corn pit, jump pad, pumpkin bowling, wagon train rides, and human hamster wheels. Face painting and axe-throwing cost extra.

Packed Event Calendar

The fall season can feel short in Minnesota with winter always looming around the corner, but Stoney Brook Farms makes the most of fall with a packed event calendar. On Saturday, October 4th, the farm welcomes your furry friends at “Dog Days”- a partnership with Ruff Start Rescue. The farm also hosts a “Bike Through the Maze” that same day from 5:30 p.m. until dark.

The corn maze stays open late on select Saturdays in September and October for “Flashlight Nights,” allowing folks to test their navigation skills under the moon. A full list of their fall events can be found on their website

Pick Your Own Pumpkin Patch

Stoney Brook Farms also boasts a large pick-your-own pumpkin patch, featuring a vast array of gourds and squashes in all shapes, sizes, and varieties. They have a big selection of fall favorites for sale, including local honey, harvest corn, and hay bales. This patch is packed with pumpkins, so be sure to snap a photo of your family during your visit!

Fresh Flowers and Vegetables

The farm’s Harvest Floral “Pick Your Own Flowers” and “You-Pick Vegetables” attractions are closed for the 2025 season, but they certainly deserve a spot on your calendar for next summer.

Their fields of flowers are packed full of everything from sunflowers to lavender, which you can pick into your own bouquet. Be sure to take home some delicious sweet corn, asparagus, and cauliflower from their vegetable warehouse as well.
