We’re in the process of revamping our web site, adding features that will make it feel more like a community. You can now not only send a letter to the editor directly through the web site, you can comment on every story we post and read others’ comments. And, in between our monthly issues, I’m posting regularly on our editor’s blog. It’s a great place to find out what’s coming up in the magazine, read about the little issues I’m pondering that won’t make it into the printed version, and – you’re sensing a pattern hear – post comments of your own. Nothing makes my job more worthwhile than hearing from readers, whether you’re happy, irate, or nonplussed.
You may have noticed that we don’t tend to have a letters to the editor section in Minnesota Parent. You may have even thought about sending a letter yourself and then decided, “Nah, they don’t print them.” We do! Or, we would if I could count on a critical mass, enough to plan out the space each month. It’s a vicious circle. Let’s break it and get a good dialogue going!
I can’t wait to hear from you.
