About The Little Village
If your toddler has ever wished for a tiny town made just for them, The Little Village in Cottage Grove might be their dream come true. This imaginative indoor play space is designed for kids ages 0–6. Its design hits that sweet spot between fun for them and not too overwhelming for you.
Just minutes from most of the Twin Cities, The Little Village is more than an indoor play space—it’s a warm, welcoming haven where toddlers thrive and grown-ups breathe a little easier. Because some days, you don’t need a big adventure. Just a little village.
Kid-Approved Indoor Play Area
Let’s start with the true magic of The Little Village! Every visit includes open play and a rotating art activity in the Creative Lab. This is where finger paints, glue sticks, and imagination take center stage for our littles.
The play area itself is filled with little details that make a big impact—natural light, intentional spaces, and cozy corners that aren’t overstimulating. It’s the kind of space where your baby can safely crawl, your toddler can pretend to be a shopkeeper, and you can finally sip a coffee while it’s still hot.
Socks are required (no shoes—hooray for clean floors!). Outside food is a no-go due to its allergy-friendly commitment. Baby items and water bottles, which they’re happy to refill, are allowed.
Parents, grandparents, and even older siblings enter for free. There’s comfy seating throughout the space so everyone can relax. Nursing moms can even take advantage of a private space stocked with essentials. There’s even a mini shop with eco-friendly toys and take-home craft kits.
Coffee & The On-Site Café
The on-site café is not an afterthought. With Dogwood Coffee, Sweet Science Ice Cream, smoothies, and healthy snack boards (yes, cheese and crackers for the win!), this café is just as much for you as it is for the littles. Charcuterie and a latte while your kid builds a block tower? Yes, please. No outside food or beverages are permitted.
