New PBS line-up airs in October

'Maya and Miguel', 'Thomas and Friends', 'Postcards from Buster' all debut

"Maya and Miguel"

Begins Oct. 11, airs Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. and again at 5 p.m. on TPT 2

Kids will have double the fun, twice the hilarity and discover a dynamic language duo when irrepressible, 10-year-old twins Maya and Miguel Santos bring the uproariously funny bilingual world of Maya and Miguel to Twin Cities Public Television (TPT) this month. Sprinkled throughout this hilarious series are values of friendship, family, and a positive, culturally rich portrayal of Latino family, language, and cultures.

"Thomas and Friends"

Begins Oct. 11, airs Sundays at 8 a.m. on TPT 2

This fall, the famous Thomas the Tank Engine series makes its debut with 13 half-hour episodes, each of which contains three separate adventures. Each story focuses on one of the engines embarking on an adventure, encountering an obstacle, and learning what it is to be responsible.

"Postcards from Buster!"

Begins Oct. 11, and runs Monday-Friday, 4 p.m. on TPT 2

Take off with Buster Baxter from "Arthur" as he explores cultural diversity. "Postcards from Buster!" follows Arthur's best friend, Buster, as he wings his way across the country, accompanying his father, who is piloting a fictional rock band through the United States, with forays into Canada, Mexico, and Puerto Rico. In each episode, Buster discovers new cultures and communities. Turning his video camera on to record his travel adventures and understand life in different venues, Buster creates a series of live-action, P.O.V.-style postcards to send to his friends back home.
