Our 5 Favorite Air Fryer Foods

Let’s face it. The air fryer is a staple in our kitchen today. They are simply amazing. They are quick and easy and everything that comes out of them is really good.

We have a few favorites that we love to throw in the air fryer that are staples in our house.

1. Trader Joe’s Orange Chicken

The orange chicken at Trader Joe’s is one of the best options they have for kids. Our kids started eating orange chicken at school for lunch and they love it. It’s so nice to have the option to make this at home. We always pair it with Trader Joe’s frozen rice that is heated up in the microwave for three minutes. This meal is simple and quick and everyone loves it.

2. Trader Joe’s Turkey Corn Dogs

These are a perfect lunch option around our house. The breading is a little different than most corn dogs but we all really like it and once dipped in ketchup well a corn dog is a corn dog and we are Minnesotan’s and we love anything on a stick!

3. Tyson Naturals Chicken Nuggets

We use these nuggets for a snack, to throw in a wrap and to toss into salads. I started buying these ones because the packaging says all natural…but who  knows what that even means nowadays. All I know is we like them and we can easily order them from the grocery store and throw them in the air fryer anytime we need to heat up a few!

4. Asparagus

Somehow my kids like asparagus and cooking it in the air fryer is quick and easy. Here is the recipe we use to make them.

Asparagus in the Air Fryer:

Ingredients-

Bunch of Asparagus about 1 lb

1/2 T Olive Oil

1/4 tsp Parsley

1/4 tsp Garlic Salt

1/4 Cup Parmesan cheese (grated)

How to Make Asparagus In The Air Fryer

  1. Trim off the ends. Rinse your asparagus and trim off the ends.
  2. Season asparagus. Season your asparagus with parsley, salt, and olive oil.
  3. Add the cheese. Place the asparagus in the air fryer basket (in an even layer), sprinkle parmesan over the top.
  4. Air fry it! Set your air fryer to 400 ℉ and cook the asparagus for 7 minutes.

5. Leftovers!

It is so much easier to throw in your leftover fries, onion rings, chicken wings, you name it in the air fryer. Back in the day trying to reheat these items in the microwave or oven didn’t cut it. With the help of the air fryer we are able to eat our leftovers without them being soggy and gross!

We have been air frying for about 7 years now. We upgraded our air fryer about a year ago. We have always use the GOWISE brand and loved it! This is the machine we are currently using!
