Everyone should know what to do in an emergency. Approximately 2 million people in the U.S. are hospitalized for injuries each year, and almost 140,000 of those injuries result in death.
The Minneapolis Area Red Cross offers health and safety education and training courses. Classes teach standard first aid; infant, child, and adult CPR; automatic external defibrillator (AED) use, and more.
Courses are held at the Red Cross headquarters at 1201 W. River Pkwy.
in Minneapolis and at churches, community centers, and libraries throughout the metro area. A fee is required, but scholarships are available.
