Not everyone knows the answer to that question when they enter college, or even when they leave. Minnesotan John Bendt’s new book, A Roadmap to Career Success: 25 Tips for College-Bound Students, maps out specific steps high school and college students can take to identify careers that interest them and get the skills they need.

Bendt’s approach isn’t for everybody: “If you’re undecided, you need to be proactive to finalize a choice, too,” he chastens high school and college students. (I shudder to think of what he would have said to me and my classmates at our 10-year reunion.)
