About Bryant Lake Regional Park

When planning a family outing, you may find yourself with kids of varying ages who want to participate in different activities while they’re out. Perhaps one is obsessed with swimming, the toddler is enamored with the swing set, and you have a pre-teen who has just started to love playing disc golf with their friends.

Eden Prairie’s Bryant Lake Regional Park has everything every member of your family could ever want for a day of fun in the sun. Across the park’s 170 acres, you will find a sand-bottomed lake, a beachside playground, and an 18-hole disc golf course. There’s also an off-leash dog park if you’d like to bring your furry friend along for the trip.

Take a dip!

Stepping on a slimy rock is part of lake life in Minnesota, but this experience is rare at Bryant Lake, which has a sand-covered bottom. This, combined with its size, makes it a very peaceful place to take a swim. The water is tested throughout the summer months to ensure its safety and quality. Another thing to keep in mind during your visit: there are no lifeguards on duty.

There are beachside restrooms and a seasonal concession stand as well. Another thing kids and parents will love is the nearby playground, so be sure to pack a dry set of clothes for some post-swimming playtime.

Water classes and camps

The park hosts a variety of classes all centered around the water, like stand-up paddleboard lessons and guided kayaking adventures. In addition to these offerings, the staff hosts short day camps for both children and teenagers. Popular options include fly fishing and “paddle palooza,” where kids build their skills at paddle sports like log rolling (!) and canoeing. Disc Golf Course

Besides the lake, one of the coolest features at Bryant Lake Regional Park is its expansive 18-hole disc golf course. Be sure to check out the 17th hole, where players throw their discs off a cliff to get to the basket!

One of the best parts of the course is its beautiful views of the water. It’s also ideal for players of all abilities and skill levels, with both short and long courses. Select holes also have two baskets for players to throw into. You’ll need an annual or daily pass to play, which can be purchased online
