Central Park is a destination park and playground in the heart of Maple Grove that offers over 44 acres of play that your family can enjoy all day.
This award-winning park offers many so many amenities.
The interactive fountain is a 2,100 sq. ft. plaza with 49 jet sprays and 18 arching sprays. At night, beautiful lights turn the fountain into a light show once the sun goes down It’s free to play in the fountain; children and the young at heart are all welcome. The playground is a hit for family’s! The Central Park playground in Maple Grove offers seven play zones. Some of the fun things you can explore is a 24-foot climbing tower! The tower overlooks the playground, the interactive fountains and the pond.
A slide hill is where you will find different types of slides and climbing ropes to help go up and down for hours of fun!
You will also find unique swings, structures, play areas and more throughout this massive park in Maple Grove.
The 120-foot climbing wall will challenge all of us! It has many opportunities for kids to climb there way up to the top and make there way down and try to do it again and again!
The park also offers a rock climbing and sand play area which is full of great places to play hide and seek, build sand castles and gives children the opportunity for lots of imaginative play!
Central Park has a designated space for the youngest kids wanting to have a fun day at the park. This toddler area is especially designed for children 3 and younger. It includes climbers, slides, tunnels, bridges and more.

Enjoy the beautiful Central Park garden areas. The gardens provide thousands of perennials that provide color all summer long. Make sure to grab your camera.
Bring a Picnic and Enjoy the Great Lawn
This 2.5 acre green space serves two purposes:
- Casual green space for the community to gather
- It is host large special events for local and regional gatherings
During the day, the lawn is a perfect place to bring a blanket, have a picnic, fly a kite, or throw a frisbee. Come out to enjoy special events and festivities all year long.
Take a Walk Along the Trails
The trail loop on the north side of Central Park circles the pond and connects to the 55 miles of Maple Grove trails. From here, continue on to the trails around the three lakes in the immediate area — Arbor Lake, North Arbor Lake, and West Arbor Lake. During the winter, the trail loop and major walkways are plowed. You can also use the trail tunnel under Weaver Lake Road near Jonquil Lane to access Maple Lakes Park.

In the Winter
The park offers an ice loop that is a 810 foot long and 20 foot wide trail designed for pleasure skating. The loop has refrigerated ice. If you stay long enough, you might get a chance to see the Zamboni drive by.
Phenow Pavilion warming house
Monday through Friday: 4 to 9 p.m.
Saturday, Sunday, and District 279 non-school days: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
They also offer skate rentals (Available first come, first served) and skate sharpening.
Crokicurl
Crokicurl is a game for all ages and is free to the public. The first in Minnesota, is at the rink in Maple Grove is located next to the great lawn at Central Park.
